I would like to see a diplomacy research tree for Intelligence that would unlock intelligence reports. These would tell me how my empire compares to other kingdoms/empires.
Example:
- Intelligence > Spy Training
- Intelligence > Embassies
1. Intelligence - Allows building of Intelligence Headquarters
An intelligence headquarers would allow the user to see a report with a bare minium of information about his kingdom/empire.
Sample Report shows relative standing in the world for your Kingdom baed on influence and the domiante race of your lands
- Kingdom Melor: #4 (Melor is the 4th strongest kingdom), Human
2. Intelligence > Spy Training
Spy training allows one to train spies. These spys could be sent into foreign lands and each spy would update the intelligence report to show stats on nations in which you have spies. Spys would be more likely to succeed if sent into a land populated by those of the same race. I.e. a spy sent into a land of wraiths is quite likely to be detected than a human spy sent to spy on a human kingdom.
Intelligence report with 1 spy in Kingdom of Reginor
- Kingdom Melor #2 (Melor is the 2nd most influential), Human
- Kingdom Reginor #7, Human
3. Intelligence > Embassys
Would allow on to send ambassadors to the courts of other lands. If they agree to accept your ambassador your intelligence report is updated with even more information;
Sample report with 1 ambassador in Reginor and 1 spy in Alrex. Melor is your home kingdom.
c. Kingdom Melor #4 - Human, Population 500, Cities 3, Shards 2, Army 350 points
d. Kingdom Reginor #7 - Wraiths, Population 700, Cities 1, Shards 0, Army 500 points
e. Kingdom Alrex #5 - Human
4. Intelligence > Spy Training > Assassins
Unlocking Assassins allows you to recruit and train Assasins. Assassins can enter other cities or enemy armies and engage a random champion or sovereign in one-on-one tactical combat on a map resembling the Sovereigns great hall or his tent if encountered in the wilderness.
5. Intelligence > Spy Training > Royal Guard
Unlocking Royal Guard attaches a royal guard to a sovereign. If attacked by an assasin the the Sovereign has the assistance of his royal guard
Example:
- With Royal Guard its Assassin vs (Sovereign + Royal Guard)
- Without Royal Guard its Assassin vs Sovereign
Each failed assisination attempt increases the size of the sovereign's royal guard by 1.
Example
- 1st Attempt: Assassin vs Sovereign + 1 Royal Guard
- 2nd Attempt: Assassin vs Sovereign + 2 Royal Guards
- 3rd Attempt: Assassin vs Sovereign + 3 Royal Guards
