Bug? Long after attack animation while mounted

I have all my champions mounted on horses, and I noticed that when they attack with a bow there is a long animation after the attack where you cannot move, attack, etc. The horse appears to shake its head then move it side to side. After it has finished you can attack again. The entire attack takes a good 3-4 seconds. As you can imagine, this adds up to a lot of wasted time when there are 3 attacks per champion and 10 champions in a party.

One other thing I noticed is that the Death Demon (I think) apparently has some ability that makes it so the morale of the party drops to zero. I was fighting an enemy who had a single town with no buildings, but somehow had a death demon. After the first round, all my units would cower in fear and do nothing for the rest of the battle while the death demon mopped up my party.

Thanks for listening. If the attack animation for mounted champions were fixed I'd be much happier. Possibly add an option to skip battle animations altogether?

I skip most of my tactical battles because of this, and the slow animations, the game should let us speed them up.

About the Demon, I'm not sure which one you're refering to, but the one summoned by the empires has a spell that does 10 damage to every enemy on the field, maybe the damage ruined the morale? I don't know. :/

It was Markinn with the kingdom of Gilden that had the Death Demon, so it couldn't have been any empire specific spell. When the battle started I had 0 morale, before any spell was even cast.

Strangely enough, using auto battle worked fine, the battle completed with minimal losses on my side. The only problem was in tactical combat, where I could do nothing on any round past the first.

I really wish I could autobattle to skip all the slow animations, but sometimes the AI is doing god knows what. I've had times where I've lost my entire army in an autobattle, then reloaded and did tactical and finished without losing a single hit point on a single unit of mine. Unfortunately, I'm at a battle like that currently in the game and I have a really hard time motivating myself to do tactical and finish it out.
