Anyone run into a bug where you kill an enemy or group of enemies, and during the enemy turn your dudes get attacked by the dead monsters?
It's happened to me about 3 times now... I also noticed that sometimes if I have one of my guys selected and they die, and on my turn I click attack, I can do it to them too.
Since the latest patch that came out LATE last night, I created a new game, and killed the enemy soverign's wife just outside the city. Now her dead body is lying there and I can attack it over and over again and she keeps dying and giving me xp. When I load a save game, the death animation comes back (it looks like she dies after every restore) and the attack icon is totally available I can still keep killher her over and over and keep getting XP.
My situation is different than yours, however, because she is so weak she woudl never attack me. So I don't really know whwether she would attack me like she did in your examples.
But yes. I have definately experienced this. It might be the same bug.
Yup, I got what greggbert got. I killed the sovereign of umber and his wife more than a dozen times and still...THEY LIVE!!! If not attacked, their dead bodies rise up and wander around the countryside. Tis a foul plague to be sure. But seriously, can we fix this thing. It's wrong...and creepy.
I also experienced what gregbert described. It is definitely a bug/exploit. I attacked the husband corpse for a while and leveled my group about 8 times. I had 5 moves per turn and was able to attack the body using auto resolve and rake in the xp.
I actually had this happen as well lol, chick's dead body is sitting outside my town and just dying over and over again.
That is not live which can eternal die.

I have seen games with many bugs, but this game sounds like has bugs that sounds like it is beyond comprehension. Bug like this is actually one of the "funny" one and just makes me wonder if this has ever been tested at all?
Had that happen in 1.06 https://forums.elementalgame.com/394206 Where I was trying to keep my caravans alive... Would kill a mob stack then it would rise from the dead to sack my caravan.....
I'm going to take an impromptu course in XML modding (since I already know HTML and Visual Basic, it should be easy) and make Elemental: War of ZOMBIES a reality.
I saw this bug with my husband playing his game prior to the update to 1.07, so it's not new to this update. In his case it was a dead enemy spouse that we referred to as the "training dummy" LOL
But I also experienced it myself yesterday when I took over a tribal village from one of those small factions. They had a golem and the king and queen in the town. I killed the group off and after the battle, did not get the city because the dead golem was still there. Annoying. He died well the second time though.
Caravans may seem defenseless, but when they're an AI caravan, they are all powerful--they're immortal and can block access to a rival city you intend to attack! They can be stationed just outside (or even overtop of) the city and it wont allow you to attack the city--although you can attack the caravan repeatedly, supposedly destroying it each time... I had to wait about 8 turns to be able to take that city.
