So how does the Adventure research line work in regards to resources?

I mean, I KNOW how it works.....

My question is..... it seems like once you research the exploration line to open up new resources, it only works for existing cities....

I dont think I have ever placed a new city and found an "undiscovered" resource.

Am I wrong in this? If you research the entire line of "resource" tech can a newly founded city find a new resource, that wasnt there before, once it expands its influence?

Each resource tech just spawns single according resource within your influence zone, not affecting anything in later game.

So, if I understand you right, holding off on that portion of the tech tree would be more benificial in the long run once you have more influence/cities.....

I dont mind that, I can deal with it, I just would think it would be better if there was even a small chance of finding a new resource with newly placed cities.

Wait... do you mean, each indivual influence zone??.... Say I have 5 cities grouped together with one large influence zone vs 5 cities each with their own individual, non-connected, influence zone.... Which would benifit more, if at all?

End of therealphyzik's quote

I mean overall zone. AFAIK, it spawns exactly ONE resource on the map, regardless of the size of your empire.

OK, thanks for the clarification... For some reason I was thinking I should hold back on that tech until I got some more cities.
