Wow! Kept hearing no update would be out this week (at least from my end) and yet here is one to catch everyone by their nose! Love Stardock!
One step further!
Woohoo!
Now, the whole SD team deserves to pig out on their favorite food and... pass out I guess. ![]()
Cheers,
V
Beer is a food? ![]()
Or pass out on their favorite food and por... eh... pour a nice glass of wine. Thanks guys.
Gotcha! Don't be ashamed, porridge is bad, but not so much you have to restrain yourself from naming it on a pubblic board...
To the OP, thx!
Soooooo is this one going to wipe out my saved games also?
Actually, only for users with the name that start's with a "U".

No I can confirm that loading save games seems to be working fine.
Hope it's good for everyone.
Now off to my last day of work, after an insane non-stop 5 month marathon of QA work... 16 days off... *drrooooolllssszzz*
Again, high five for the SD Team!
SD&RnR! ![]()
Just found out trying to play... Yay.
Edit: forgot to say thanks SD
Now that I have updated the game crashes whenever I save a new sovereign. ![]()
If Ketchup (or the more vulgar, Catsup) can be considered a vegatable in school lunches, I see no reason beer cannot be acceptable as a grain!
Why you.. *shakes fist
Have 1.07. For me:
Loading saves from 1.06 works.
Performance ~turn 200 much improved.
Sovereign's children regen mana fast in battle - not Sovereign, and not fast outside of battle.
All cities received MANY more build tiles.
Spells are sometimes useful (do good damage).
Seeing about 7-10fps difference on main map. Frame rates definitely staying more stable instead of bouncing from 20 to 5 all time. Tact battles still suffer poor fps unless zoomed all the way in. That gives me about 30fps whereas zoomed out is more like 13fps. Overall game running a bit smoother. Still hoping for the magic patch that will get me to 60fps.
Updated
Forgot to mention that was from a 400 turn save file, started over and running about 40fps with some minor city improvements. Started at 65fps then as soon as city animation appeared....BOOM -20fps.
Build tiles are the same, it's just that walled in resources no longer take -4 blocks anymore. And yeah the fps boost is REALLY nice! I finally get to get myself out of the cloth map. Not perfect but much much better.
Running fraps....is game locked at 65fps? I'm stuck at that on menu's. Usually in the 300's on menus. Notice theres no option to unlock frame rate now either.
Started new game with latest patch, and the number of times I've been declared war upon officially doubled when two empires did so back to back! They did not like my viking style razing action though : )
+ Added new framerate limiter ( limits framerate to refresh rate of device )
- Removed throttle framerates option (this is always on now)
Is anyone having an issue with the NEXT TURN button ? I am 329 turns into my first game of 1.07 and I am unable to progress. I saved , and reloaded, and still unable to progress... ![]()
You should check to see if any of your units have no where to go, such as units set to auto explore, that's usually the case for me.
Ships are especially prone to this.
Some have also mentioned something regarding some animation that has to play out, and that zooming all the way out and scrolling around may help, so this may be worth a try if the blocked movement idea doesn't pan out.
I've never had the animation one, Usually just auto explore units and like you said ships. However I agree with Nick, Lord, you should try both. Thanks for the other suggestion Nick.
I wouldn't say that it is useless. I run many games at 100fps with a monitor at 65 refresh rate. There is a significant performance difference between that and if I were to lock the fps. So I guess I don't follow your logic. Its only useless if you have a garbage monitor and get a ton of tearing. If not higher fps may not be displayed, but game overall will still run smoother. Locking it at 60fps may cause less tearing, but you can receive performance decrease.
