What's up with all the baby NPC's?

In several of my 1.06 games to date, I have encountered NPC's (all women) whose map icon is an infant in a cradle (same icon used for infant progeny of sovereigns).  Is this deliberate or a bug?  They have full powers, so they are clearly adults, but why the baby picture?  It just seems odd to look at.  In the tac battles they assume the shape of the adult form that they have on their info page.

Second issue - Is there any check being made of duplicate NPC names?  At one time I had three NPC's all with the same name (females with a name beginning with "c" but I forget the name now, it was like "Correia" or something similar.)

These may be minor gripes but I did not see anyone else posting about them yet.

I also have about 15 guys named Vaenia in my armies and another 8 or so named Viy. About 2/3 of the several guys named Dosid have baby pictures for icons. The duplicate hero names can be confusing when several are in the same army or if 2 or more of the same name are unit leaders. Any way we can rename these? The baby pictures are humerous, but don't seem to actually hurt anything. The Dosids fight as well as anyone else.
