There minor race settlement I would like be rid of as it's it will be in the way of one of my settlements expanding. Anyone know how I destroy, not capture, but destroy this settlement?
I heard that you can hit "x" to destroy a city. Also, I heard that there is a technology that you can research that lets you choose to raze a city when you conquer it. I can't confirm that, though.
Yes there is a technology that gives you the ability to raze a city. Not sure what it is called but I think you can then raze a city anytime you want.
Pressing X with a city selected provides the option, also click the city icon and you can click Destroy City in the City Information Menu I believe. That may or may not require research, but it should be the same menu that lets you rename cities.
Yes there is a tec in warfare to do that, Either press "x" or select the action from the action menu

Research warfare to "Fortification" then you can RAZE your own settlements. Early in the game there is now way to do this that I know of.
