New citysets? share your plans (screens)

After reading this post (https://forums.elementalgame.com/390276) i decided to make a new cityset.

If you have some set or already working on please post some picture. We can inspire each other :)

My first will be a set for northern kingdoms. Kingdoms with winter terrain. But it will follow the kingdom techtree. So i only want an otherlooking cityset. (And i miss palmtrees for arabic style settlements.)

This is an example, the nordic hut: (the building site and the hard folks of the nord)

Thanks for the feedback. It took me a long while cause I didn't know what I was building till I looked back at some of my favorite shops in Oblivion. I hope this tile editor catches on soon. I spent 30 min playing the game today and 4hrs making tiles. Also, if you look real close, I set up each group talking in the open areas as adventure parties. I like how easy it is to make shorter and taller people. *_*

I can add totaly new cityset without creating a new techtree!!!

Solution: define a new race, add it as prereq to the building, add prereq: race type men to the original buildings and edit the files where the >men< is required. Believe me this method is easier than creating a totaly new techtree. And with this prereq-s you can edit the techtree either.

For example the tech tree of my nordic nation will be very similar to the kingdoms, but instead of irrigation they have thermal irrigation.

Brilliant update. I am going to use that to make my current cityset a race specific feature. Then I will make a kingdom race that has a completely different upgraded cityset! That way everyone starts out with low level generic buildings and gets uniquely articulated ones as time goes on. I would hope that I can use your tiles for my race of Dwarves as I am already having dreams about recreating the race from Disciples.

Keep up the good work brother. For he that mods with me today shall be my brother! And those that were not here on this day, that were busy complaining or defending the vanila version, shall hold their manhoods cheap that they were not party to the beautiful world of modding on Labor day!

You should know that I will start working on my Brotherhood of Nod buildings soon for the Empire side. I always felt that they made a better fantasy cult than a tiberium infused tech society. :w00t:

Yes, the empire side needs more unique buildings than the kingdoms - i think. So i would like to see your buildings in my game.

Later i would like to upload my files. As i see at present i can make a filesystem where you change some worlds (and the buildings of course) and you have your own cityset in the game.

And the set: In harsh, cold nordic lands is hard to harvest. They utilize the heat of the earth to prevent the plants to freeze. (instead of irrigation system)

/I think later i will ask your help to supervise 3-4 sentences in my techtree and buildingdescription. As you see my english is far from perfect./

Very innovative farming system. I would be happy to help with your descriptions. Archaic english can be a bit tricky, but it really adds to the setting of this type of game, if you want to use some of it. Let me know when you are ready to write the descriptions.

there is my nordic nation

it is unfinished, but there is 16 new building, new wall (the old one, but with pinetrees around), and a nation with winter terrain

so it adds some new taste to the game
