I still can't run the game without a crash some 5 minutes in.
I'm no expert, but I found stability improved if I updated all my drivers to latest versions.
Other than that you could follow the instructions in the sticky to give them your err files so they can debug issues and make sure the new patch will fix your system rather than hope it will and urge they rush it out.
Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via pastebin. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.
The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental
Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session.
If there was a dump zip created in C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic on Windows XP), please post that too.
Targeting having the 1.07 update out tonight, EST. Will post when it's available, no point in keeping looking every 30 min or the like until then.

It's not happening tonight. Hopefully earlier in the afternoon on Thursday. Good progress in testing against the fixes for the DirectX errors when alt-tabbing. Still working on some new cosmetic things from those fixes and a crash related to audio. Plus what's already set/fixed for the update.
