This save is not compatible with the game because it is a sdifferent version

Seriously??

 

I've been on 1.06 and played as recently as yesterday, now none of my campaign saves will load and i get this message. Anyone else having this issue?

The hotfix they released DAYS ago made it force all saves to be from the same version. Since the hotfix changed the version numbers only saves from the hotfix will work.

Thanks, weird thought I did play yesterday.

Not sure the point of playing the game if they are going to keep killing progress, that is what a Beta is for right?

They released a hotfix hours after releasing 1.6 that disabled games from previous versions, as they were incompatible with some of the fixes.

If you've started any games *after* updating to 1.6, or more precisely, *after* installing that latest possible update to the game that can't be accessed, then this is a different issue, and should be reported in the tech forum.

In a game of this sort, never update your version in the middle of a game you are attached to. There is always a risk of a new change interacting poorly with aspects of the previous game, even if they don't anticipate it happening. They can spend alot of time worrying about and testing backward compatibility, or they can spend that time improving the game. Given a choice, I know which I prefer.
