[Bug] List of several minor bugs

  1. Teleportation
    When I teleport directly on top of a notable location, the location does not trigger. Same thing when teleporting quests. Also, when teleporting over an enemy, instead of entering a tactical battle, the enemy is pushed to an adjacent tile.
  2. City building
    (note I do not know how to reproduce this but it happens all the time to me).
    For clarity I want to define two terms I will use: City improvements are those improvements attached directly to a city on the grid (e.g. workshop, study). Resource improvements are the improvements built on one of the resources (e.g. gold mines, farms).

    As far as I can tell, the city improvements are fine. However, when I build a resource improvement, usually they do not show up in the city building queue and are built in parallel with a city improvement. It may have to do with whether or not a city improvement is already building when I try to build the resource improvement, but like I said I have not tested it.


  3. Settings reset after patch
    After every patch, my settings are reset to default. Well, it was pretty annoying during the first few days  as 3 or 4 patches came out relatively quickly.


  4. No walking animation
    Are some creatures missing walking animations? Under certain conditions do the walking animations of creatures not display? Whatever the cause, I've seen a young ogre and a brontosaurus (whatever they are called) jump to the next tile without walking.


  5. Viewing city building info cards
    While city improvements are building, I like to hover over that building with my mouse to see how many turns are left. This is how I think it is supposed to work: select city, hover over a building and you see its info card; deselect city, hover over any building and you see the general city's info card. Unfortunately, this functionality does not persist after playing the game for some time. What I've observed is that whether or not the city is selected, the city's info card shows always. I can confirm that after loading a save game, this problem disappears temporarily.

  6. Two units with same name but different designs show the new design's info card.
    After the first archer design, I researched some techs and there was an automatic new archer design generated (+1 armor I think). With these two units in the same stack, I hovered my mouse over them and I saw for each the newer design's info card.

As far as I can tell, the city improvements are fine. Read the excelent post regarding city improvements and how resource improvements work (something with City Limits).

The fast answer is that when a resource tile is next to a city, it gets enclosed in the wall. From then on it's part of the city for all purposes. Defended by the city units, takes up 4 spaces from the city, extends the city limits AND is in the build queue for the city. So, this is expected behaviour, just not explained anywhere in game!
