Let's make a post to show which spells you can unlock/learn at different levels. Maybe sticky this?

More descriptive explanations of what the spells actually do would also be a plus. Some are obvious, but others like the "plunge the land into a bone chilling winter" spell could use a player's perspective. "What does this spell do?" "What is it good for?" and "Does it affect more than one tile?" are the kinds of questions any additional explanations should answer.

This thread was created to discuss spells: What they can do, what they are good for, how effective they are, etc.

I have included a spreadsheet of all the spells for both the kingdoms and empires. You can switch between sheets using the tabs in the top left corner of the page linked above.

Suggestions/comments/corrections/requests for changes are all welcome. Please use this thread to ask questions about spells, discuss their effectiveness, and recommend those you like to use.

It would be nice.  Most of the spells I've been skipping over because I have no idea why making a hill tile would useful and such.  The summoning ones are pretty much the only ones I've used because they are self-explanatory.

There are probably some other uses too, but here are my best guesses. I have not really played with either spell, so I can't speak from experience. This is just what I've heard from others and/or my own speculation.

Raise land is useful for leveling out terrain (perhaps to build on), to turn water into land, and supposedly can be used in some instances to create a land bridge across areas of water.

"Turn water, beach and cliff into land; land into hill; but not land into mountain."

Lower land I assume is primarily used to either level out terrain (again most likely case would be to build on) or lower a mountain so your troops can pass over.

"Turn mountain into hill; hill into land; but not land into water."

Finished inputting the data. There should now be complete lists for both the Kingdoms and Empires. There are tabs in the top left corner to switch between sheets. Suggestions and requests for changes are welcome. I plan to add some descriptions at some point, but I'm still trying to figure out the best way to do that. Please feel free to use this thread to discuss spells.
