Help - I've lost my army in a city!

Is there a tutorial in this game?

Hi,

I'm new to the Civ-type games, and am having some trouble with the interface.  Can someone offer some advice or direct me to links that might help with the following information:

1. Is there a tutorial that describes what the UI is and does?  The manual isn't very helpful, and being new to these turn-based, Civ-type games seems to be a serious handicap here.  Sometimes the tooltips are abbreviated or don't even come up.  I can't imagine this on purpose, but am at a bit of a loss to explain it...?

2. I can't find my leader.  He entered town to pick up reinforcements, and disappeared.  How do I:

2a. Find him again

2b. Add new soldiers to his army (and how do I even find those soldiers...  I think they're in that town)

2c. Buy him new stuff at the store.  At the beginning of the game there was some store thingie, but now I can't find it anymore, and so a bunch of my troops are running around punching stuff.  And dying a lot.

Looking around these forums, it seems others may be having some of the confusion issues I am.  I know it's early in the release and that much of this will get worked out, but gosh.  This doesn't yet feel like a for-reals, ready-for-sale game...

The campaign includes some tutorial messages that should help.

End of quote

Click on the city you sent him to, and his icon should appear at the top right edge of the main UI panel.

Click his icon and shift click on any troops you wish to send with him, and right click outside the city to send them off.

The store can be accessed through the Actions tab any time you have your sovereign or a hero selected and they're in your territory. You can then equip any bought items via the sword and shield button by the unit's HP bar. Mundane units trained from cities can't be equipped with bought items, you'll need to design and train new ones with better gear to replace them.

I admit to restarting the game twice before figuring out what in hadies was happening to my sovereign.

Took me a bit to figure out that red dots were units and blue dots are buildings too. (I think...)
