CTD during combat

I'm playing the 1.06 version and have ended up crashing 3 times to desk top in the past 3 hours. While I had no crashes prior to 1.06 I'm not sure I've played enough prior for the experience to be conclusive. Unfortunately I haven't seen a pattern yet to suggest reproduction.

I have an nvida graphic card so it isn't any of the common ati issues (8800gts 512MB). I do play quit a few games (bit too much oh well) and this is the only one crashing so while a driver might not be optimal i doubt it is a hardware issue (ram or similar).

Anyone else having similar issues ?

Any other info I should provide ? (this is win xp 3sp 32 bit)
