Upgrading military.

Maybe I missed it in the manual, in GalCiv2 you could upgrade your older units to the new unit type - is this possible in Elemental?

From what I have been able to gather, no. You are stuck with those level 10 peasants forever.

It would be interesting if disbanding returned some of the resources used to create the unit - if not the gold then at least the metal and material.
