Tactial Combat vs. Auto-Resolve

In the campaign I used tactical combat because that is just cool MoM style combat and is really fun to me, however when I came across the demons that burn every one of my units for 10hp in damage and I had no way to stop it or deflect it in anyway, and healing was incredibly expensive, I tried auto-resolving combat. To my surprise and dismay, it made all the difference, now I'd lose maybe 6hp to ONE guy and I wouldn't lose any units at all, so I ended up exploiting this massive imbalance for the rest of the campaign since tactical combat helped me in absolutely no way, it simply punished me for trying to be tactical.

Please fix this, otherwise tactical combat might as well not exist. Back in MoM, I believe you generally suffered losses in auto-resolved combat, but in tactical combat, if you were resourceful you could generally do much better.

I think in MoM skipping combat was the same as watching it on auto, however this is sadly not the case with autoresolve. The AI doesn't make the same decisions nor does it play by the same rules as in tactical combat.

Good point, hadn't thought about that, it must do something quite close, but just obviously not with the ingenuity of a human so losses seemed to be a little more prone in auto-combat, but it's kinda like saying 'I'm not interested in handling the minutia of tactical combat, I'll take some loses to avoid it', it kinda made sense.

Elemental is doing some kind of loose calculation based off a combined power number gathered from some of the unit attributes or something, needless to say, it's way too abstract and actually benefits the guy who doesn't want to deal with that minutia substantially, it's a real bummer because it just makes tactical combat completely pointless, I hope it gets fixed.

Confirm problems with auto-combat: attacked a group which used magic on me. They cast magic twice, and my entire group died before we could do anything. Reload, try auto-combat: the opponents simply died, my group was hardly damaged...

...yet more bugs to fix! Wouldn't want to swap with you guys ;)

Those demon units are godly.  My sov only wishes he could see spell damage like that to multiple units instead of "miss" and single digit insults - for more mana even.  Those demons get to cast 2x for 3 mana each.  LMAO.

The summon spy spell elemental has the same spell, but cant cast it as many times.  Him and 3 or 4 demons and it fun time.
