[1.06] City screen; combat moves, living world, landscape changes, agriculture and social interaction

First, I think Elemental can be a game that I could play again and again and again - like Fall from Heaven 2, Master of Orion 2, Civ or Dwarf Fortress! You do a great job.


Most bugs I found somewhere else, so, you know... I have more suggestions and wishes.

BUGS
- City Screen: I build a soldier. 1 turn until end. City is selected. 1 Turn later, city still selected, I dont see a new unit icon in my city unit short list. For that, I have to deselect / reselect my city.

FEATURE WISHES
- Combat, attack/defense movements: What is a combat turn in real life? In Elemental it is possible to win, as single unit, against 5 units in defense ("enemys turn"). Thats ok. But back in "my turn" it is possible to perform two attacks, just as if I had not fought already. Suggestion: Every attack/defense action costs 1 mov-point, not only attacks just to simulate that attack/defense are in real life at the same time. In real life it is always advisable to employ/bother enemies. You employ them so that they can not attack important units.

- Living world: In Fall from Heaven 2 there are ongoing orcs or goblins that attack my city. Just because I draw a border fence around a forest, it does not mean that the forest is harmless. I need more action around my cities, and I mean not attacks from other factions. Just a more living world of robbers, creatures, single events (My citizens found a witch!) and so on.

- Landscape changes: I like FFH2 and that the landscape always change somehow. As far I can see, Elemental seems more static. Forest grows, swamps gets darker, more evil, and troll huts spread other evil creatures in their neighbourhood.

- Agriculture: I am surprised that I can not plant everywhere (diff. species of) corn. It is one main feature of civilization that you can even plant corn in mountains. As doing so, you need only consider that it is there less productive.

- Social interaction: I miss a kind of social interaction between hereos and characters like in "Europa Universalis Rome". You know it? Everything is generic. Characters try to form groups, declare each other foes or friends, not only spouse or son. I like the idea of a inner faction system - so you can influnce, as an enemy, different factions of your enemy. In "EU Rome" there are also councils and political sub-systems.

Otherwise I think Elemental is a small precious. It is a pity that you can hardly buy it in Germany.
