As the title says I just updated to 1.06 and the game stops at the loading screen wait for two minutes waiting for the game to load knowing it won't. This is the third try.
Same here I think. Game hangs at the screen with the copyright date, before the main menu.

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via pastebin. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.
The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental
Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session.
Your reply got me thinking. The computer I am playing Elemental on automatically connects to my home wifi. Well the cable is out, and has been all day. So the client connects to the router, and gets an IP, but the network on the WAN side is completely dead, no internet because the cable is out.
Disabling the wireless network adapter in Windows 7 fixed the problem.
just reinstalled and the only thing that changed is that after waiting for three minutes on the startup loading screen it played the opening title sequence (Where the plot is explained) and then the screen whent black it was after five minutes that I had to ctrl alt del and end task. Also it never took three minutes to load before 1.06.

Mine is doing the same thing. Ran fine crashed once. Told me out of memory before crash. Then installed update. Told me dx error:invalid call. Than crashed 3-4 time telling me address problem w/nvidia driver has stopped working properly. Went to see if I could update driver was told I had latest version. I have nvidia geforce 7350 le. Never had a problem like this before on any game I've installed. Liked what I got to play though. Now when I load the screen flashes at me randomly showing graphics from screen or just a white screen. HELP!!!!
Try rebooting your CPU . I know in beta once I had a similar problem and rebooting helped.
If you're getting bluescreens, then it's likely your video card is overheating or has some other hardware or driver-related issue.
Those intel drivers are quite old (2008), try getting the latest from intel's website. But performance will be poor on intel chipsets no matter what, as they mostly emulate functions via CPU.
