No piece of software should ever make your computer crash. You do have a problem but it's not due to the game.

Interaction between the game and some problem with the hardware? Does it happen when you try to recruit other Champions? Only if you recruit Champions? O_o

It happened before the recent update at a battle. After the update to 1.06 it happened after recruiting Janusk.

Exactly what does "shut off" mean. As in you have to hit the power button to turn it back on? Does it turn off immediately? Be more specific.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make you so irate. Shut off means, that the computer "shuts off" as in, I need to press the power button back on. The monitor shuts off, and all the good stuff.

Edit- Well, the Master computer doesn't shut down, but I have to press the button on the control tower again.

normally when this happens it means a program is causing the pc to access some hardware process it does not normally use and that part of the hardware is bad. I most often encountered this when dealing with customers pc when they got a new program that stretched either the cpu, video card or power supply.. now a days   this is even more possible with multi core/threaded cpu's / gpu's .. operative term here is normally...

What should I do to make the computer work, so I can make the game work then? I got MyClean PC. . . Should that work?

honestly...  if this happens evey new game you start then.. post debugg.err file, dx dialog and upload a save game file (instruction here on how to do most of this) and ask a dev to look at it.. they may be able to give you a direction that will help.. any other method may cost money needlessly, cause data loss or not work..

good luck friend..

You felt it necessary to think I was angry? Calling me irate cause that's part of my forum name seems a bit excessive as I wasn't angry at all I just asked you to be more specific as you claimed that recruiting Janusk shut it off. That seemed a bit far fetched so I wanted to make sure your machine actually turned off completely and didn't just BSOD or something. Obviously the game is crashing your computer because it either getting too hot cause of dust and lack of cooling, or some piece of your hardware is bad and it was a coincidence that it turned your machine off when you tried to recruit Janusk. I suggest you don't be so harsh next time when people are trying to help and just want more detailed information.

Good luck with figuring your problem out.

I'm sorry, sometimes I forget most people don't have my sense of humor. I meant no hostility and thank you alot. ;)

Your issue is hardware related, thus the MyClean PC software won't help.   Most likely one of the components inside your system is overheating and thus the entire system shuts down.  First I'd recommend turning off your computer and using an air gun to clean any dust inside.  If you've never done this before then find someone to help you.  Next you should use some monitoring software to determine what parts of system are performing poorly.

My apologizes as well then. I'm not really the laughing/humorous type. I'm a pretty serious guy most of the time and I sometimes get excessively defensive. Text is hard to get implied humor or sarcasm sometimes, especially when one has had a few drinks...not that I want to blame it on alcohol. But I digress...

I would follow NTJedi's advice. Pop open your case and check for any large collections of dust and make sure any fans you see are spinning. If you find lots of dust blow it out with some canned air or use an air compressor if you have one. Be careful not to directly shoot at any chips or resistors as you could potentially blow them right off the board when using an air compressor(voice of experience). As for monitoring software, that depends on what we think the problem might be related to. If you could post a dxdiag or some system specs that would help determine what hardware you have and then what monitoring software we could have you use to help narrow down the problem.

His problem may very well be a software issue. Could be a driver, may need a bios update. Who knows without knowing more about the system in question.

No game should ever make your system BSOD, freeze up, or shut down. A crash to desktop is one thing but this is a sign of other issues. I would start by running memtest.

BababooeyHTJ, the point some of us were making except in a very rare few situations software does not turn of the system cold.. that is normally a hardware issue...  as was explained in my example here:

normally when this happens it means a program is causing the pc to access some hardware process it does not normally use and that part of the hardware is bad.

which was where our suggestions came from ..  honestly though with out his system here in front of me to work on it is a tad rough completely diagnose.  It could be memory, cpu, gpu, MB, or power related. but the most likely cause is instant over heating tripping a shutdown before I fry response as NTjedi explained...

My sons computer used to shut off. The cpu heatsink fan had failed. The cpu would shut down the computer before it overheated. Something to check.

Are you a smoker?

Seriously, the tar byproduct will leave a filthy residue due to the heat generated by electronics that can destroy your machine.
