The Stack tab

How do you, or can you, combine/divide units in the stack tab and is 12 the maximum you can have in a stack?

Thanks!

Do you mean the individual units in a stack? Or dividing the army in two and combining two armies

Twelve is the cap on army size; trying to move more than twelve units together into one tile will result in their stacking rather than merging into an army.

There isn't currently any method to exchange units between stacked armies, but if you split them into adjacent tiles you should be able to do so easily.

Two stacks occupying the same square, as far as I can figure out, cannot be joined. The only way I can get stacks joined is to take one and split each unit out individually to join the main stack.I hope I'm just missing something, and if anyone can give "click here" directions I'd be grateful.

It is even more frustrating than the inability to combine individual soldiers into units/parties etc. I mean... okay, off topic, but... I know it isn't MoM, where you can just replenish soldiers by healing the whole unit, but can't we please please restock existing multi-fighter units? It would be such a brilliant way to give a nod to the classic system while using a more sophisticated mechanic. It also keeps those early single units useful in late-early/early-middle when you can gather them up and cram them into their own multi unit.

Please?

:edit: Thanks for the tip, Kryo. I'll see if that was my problem before.

Thanks for the responses.

I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious!

Any idea on whether we will get the ability to manually rearrange the order of the stack?

It is more random now who in the stack gets it, but it would be nice to reorder the units.
