an interesting bug

Ok, not sure how this happened.  I had a unit of 3 advance scouts.  2 of them died, and the last went up to level 3 in one fight, and somehow, that last unit now got upgraded to become a 130hp single soldier, with 42 attack and 18 defense.

Another thing i dont understand....when you have a squad, with say a total of 40 attack and 24 defense, and some of the guys in it die in a battle, why does the squad, even when its just a single unit left, continue to have the combined total attack and defense?

Right now that is how the game is designed to work. The game doesn't think of a stack as say 12 separate units but just one. Dead units in the stack will respawn in your territory so maybe the one remaining is imbued with the might of his fallen comrades.

Now if you want to see an interesting bug I had recently:

I had a single stack selected and tried to attack a set of mid game monsters when I thought my whole army was selected. To my surprise these archers had a huge negative attack strength and hit for 5k-10k damage. After the battle I tried to exploit it by teleporting near the area of one of my enemies but the glitch corrected itself with the teleport.

They respawn if your game doesn't crash, something I've noticed is if the game crashes the dead units don't respawn, the game just treats them as a permanently smaller unit.

And considering I still can't get up for a piss or a snack with out my freaking screen-saver of all things causing a DX dialog error or running out of memory, yeah I find myself with perma-gimped units quite often.
