Summoned Creatures have maintenance?

do summoned creatures have mainetance atached to them or  do enchantments you cast on cities? Just wondering because if they dont why would you ever cancel them

I think it's still bugged at the moment. There are supposed to be maintenance cost, you can see all the permanent spells listed in the "Enchants" section of your sovereign/caster when you click on them, but I do not really see any penalty to your maximum essence.

Maintenance cost on summons... Well sure... Giant bear has to eat... But what does an ice elemental eat?

Yes. And for what I saw, there´s a maximun mumber of those you can have at any one time. Like, if you have too many buffs (city and personal), you won´t be able to summon more units until you free up enchantments.

There should be some maintenance on summons in particular though. Buff spells are weak and don't really make any difference, but with summons you can have a whole army of decent strength early game as fast as your mana can regen. And with all the resources you are saving on army building you can expand your cities even faster.
