Teleport not working with non-Sovereign channelers

After the latest 1.06 patch + hotfix, non-sovereign channeler's teleport spell is broken. They cast it, you get the graphic on the tile you picked, it debits them 5 mana, and then nobody moves.

To my knowledge it's never worked.  It wasn't working in the pre-release for me, and it wasn't working in 1.06.  Which is annoying, because mana regens so slowly, and I need my sovereign's mana for summons, not 'ports.

I beleive tehre's a later game speel ("teleport friends" or soemthing) that uses 15 mana and is for non-sovs.  I have it but haven't bothered with it yet.  I wish SD would remove the button to teleport for 5 mana on units who can't use it, I burned 15 mana thinking I misclicked something.

Teleport/Spirit Chase only works if the caster in question is the LEADER of his force.  If he's not, the spell will fail.  This is awkward since you can't choose who'll lead too well when you have multiple casters.

If this is by design then there needs to be clarification in the spell description.  You also need to be able to actively promote someone else to be leader, or just remove this restriction and make it always work for the stack.

The leader of an army is the person you click to move on to when you first stack them up.

 

Unit A and Unit B are standing side by side. I select Unit B and move him onto Unit A. Unit A becomes the leader. The Sovereign is always the leader if he or she is in a group.
