1.06 Bug: Mana Recharge

I've been playing a game after patching to 1.06, and discovered that my Sovereign's mana was recharging to full every single turn regardless of how much I spent.  I'm pretty sure this isn't intended, even if the standard 1/turn is/was exceptionally low.  Sadly, I have no idea precisely when this started in the game or what might have triggered it - or even if a particular event triggered it rather than it being that way for the whole game!  :(

In 1.05 if you play Empire your mana recharges every turn to its maximum, but if you play Kingdom your mana recharges by 1 point per turn, which could be a bug or working as intended.

With the current build I'm only seeing a regen rate at 1 per turn with both kingdom and empire.

Do you have a save that reproduces the mana regen issue?  If so, please send it to [email protected]

It isn't empire in general; it is just the empire of Umber that has full mana regeneration. In CoreRaceConfigs.xml it has A_ManaRegeneration set to 50, for 50 mana per turn regeneration.

Netriak is right, the A_ManaRegeneration tag in Umber's xml is causing them to have very high mana regeneration per turn.  This has been fixed internally, thanks for pointing that out.
