Enchantment Slot details?

Some spell descriptions note that an Echantment slot is required.   I'm guessing that's one of the entries on the "Enchants" tab when viewing an avatar.  Is there a restriction n the number of enchantment slots, or a requirement to have any at all?  Is there a way to find out hand many you have or to increase the number?

We used to have an sort of echantment slot display back in beta... I thought it also had more data then was displayed now too (city and effect). They should go back to what they had then, imo.

I asked that same question before and the answer was (by several members, but not officials) was that you have a number of enchantment slots equal to your essence, and that any maintained spell takes an enchantment slot.

End of Elderbree's quote

Are enchantments then dispelled when you lose essence ?

After casting any permanent spell (without duration), like summon, some buffs or city effects, they take enchantment slot for caster: you get an icon of the spell in separate "enchantment tab" of the characer. Same screen is used for dispelling those spells.

What is maximum number of enchantment slots per character? I have no idea. But it is in no way related to current mana pool.

Back in beta the number of slots was your essence. But IIRC this is going to go away in the future in the favor of more traditional mana upkeep costs.

what would be good is if summoned creatures tell you who summoned them.
