My game won't save. I started up several games and keep trying to save and when I go to load there is nothing there. There is no error message of any kind it just doesn't seem to work. There also seems to be no save folder in the directory. I was wondering if anyone had any solutions to game crippling problem. Thank you.
If you're playing the campaign, campaign saves are accessed from the campaign screen, rather than the normal load screen.
I tried both the campaign and a new game and neither worked. There is no load game button on my campaign screen, I'm guessing because there are no games to load.
And as a sidenote I would like to express my sympathies to everyone having to deal with these problems. I find the fact that my first night of playing was worthless when I tried to continue the next day pretty upsetting but I understand things don't always work out as intended and I'm sure this is a bigger problem for the Stardock employees then myself.
I'm guessing you are correct that an option to load a game wasn't available if there were no saved games to load.
In a campaign game, to save:
1. Click on the Kingdom Info button at the left end of the menu bar at the bottom of the campaign screen
2. Click on Options then choose Save Game or
3. To load a campaign game, select Main Menu
4. Click on Campaign
5. Answer Yes to abandoning the game
6. Click on the name of the game you wish to load
7. Click on Load
If anyone knows of an easier way, feel free to share your knowledge here.
You can just hit escape to get to the options screen to save. But it's still not showing any saves. It's not that I don't know how to save, the game is just not working on that level. Tomorrow I'm just going to uninstall and then reinstall to see if that works. I will update then.
Also what is the folder name where save games are kept? I was thinking if maybe I created that it would then work. Thanks.
So I uninstalled my game and then reinstalled it through Impulse and I am still unable to save my game. I would really like to play but so far all I've done is wasted time and money. Any solutions?
Wierd, saves fine for me. I just press ESC and then hit save and it saves.

In your user profile - Documents\My Games\Elemental\Saves
That's where the saved games are put, they all end with .Elesav
I created folders where save games should be kept (I tried several different places) and I got nothing. I think I'm just going to give up for a while until a patch hopefully fixes this at some point. I hope everyone else has fun with the game. Thanks for the help.
