Troops desert?? Why?

I've been playing the campaign and I noticed that some of my troops are deserting. Why? What do I have to do in order to stop my troops from deserting? Thx :)

are you out of gold? i think they will desert if you can't afford to pay thier wages. check your kingdom screen.

Ah yes. That's the reason. I didn't pay attention when I was training my troops, so I had more troops that I could afford. Thx :)
