I wouldn't mind this addition...

An update screen that pops up at the end of your turn ala Galciv 2 that shows at an easy glance everything that happened that turn.  Like improvements built, units created, stuff like that...I know there's a thing on the right of the screen, but then you have to hover over each item to see what it is...

Oftentimes I wouldn't build at all for many turns because I simply queued something and completely forgot about the city. Or that it even finished production years ago and now I have a giant army knocking on my doorstep with nothing in it lol

Second that, would be very useful. Even better if it could be done optionally...

It does do that now.... In a way. Up in the right corner under the turns and stuff. The icons are kinda light colored and do not stick out but they are there. It tells you when buildings are made and troops are trained and things like that. And those kind of pop-ups that appear every turn like that can be very VERY annoying.

Also the city on the left icon list will be highlighted in yellow if it is not building or training so if you are playing with auto turn off then you shouldn't miss a city doing nothing.

Glance to the left any cities not building anything have a yellow outline. Much quicker than a modular annoying popup.

An Option like this would be nice. Aside from the exclimation mark icon those on the right are too small to be easily distinquisable and there is a nice feeling at the announcement of unit x finally deployed in GalCiv2. the icons on the left are good for detailing when a city is idle but not the progress you are making. It would also mark turns better which can blur a bit as auto turn goes on.
