[Bug?] How I mine for Sions?

So after building a Sion Temple as any Fallen race, I find myself unable to train them.  I check the "Train" dialogue for the city, but they aren't there.  I'd have never known what they did if the AI hadn't built them.  Is there something else I need to do to get these absurdly powerful units?  (Or at least they seem that way when Resoln masses them :P)

You should only need to build the improvement. Do you have a savegame where you have it but they're not in the train menu?

That's odd, I was playing just last night and could build Sions normally after constructing the improvement.

I was playing with a custom sovereign and a custom faction, but I've had this problem as Resoln and Magnar also.

Any update on this?  I'm having the same problem with this.  It doesn't stop with sions either.  I built an ogre camp and can't train ogres either.  (Darklings train fine however, and have as long as I've been playing)

Sorry, I spent over an hour searching for a post on this before posting this, https://forums.stardock.com/395809, but apparently you have to use the search engine at elementalgame.com, not the elemental forum on stardock.com.  Oh well, if someone could merge the two posts or just delete my duplicate thread thanks.

I too was playing custom sovereign with custom fallen faction, however my first game was as custom sovereign with Resoln and I had the same problem.

I've had it with other types of units--shrills, Drath, etc.  I discovered that, if no city is close enough to the site--even if it's within your controlled area--you can't train the units.

Just build another town near the site, and you'll be able to train them from that town.

If you click on such a unit wild improvement, it says it's not linked to any town if it's too far from anything... that's when you can't train any.

Build a town nearby... I think that fixes it.

The scion temple isn't built on a wild improvement and both the ogre camp and scion temple are directly adjacent to the central city tile.  Don't think they could be any closer to a city.
