Any way to stack units?

So I've got 6 individual peasants and 1 stack of spearmen.  Is there anyway to stack the peasants together so they show up as one stack of units like the spearmen?

If you mean to group them into a single unit like one trained as a party, squad, etc, you can only create those by training them, individuals can't be combined in that way (they're not trained to fight as a unit).

so when I lose 2 guys from my squad of 4, even after they heal, there is just 2 guys. Are they forever going to be unable to replace the people they lost? after a while in my game I had a bunch of these "orphan" units that started large, took some casualties, and never got back to full strength.

thats not what he said...god learn to read. hes referring to individual units that were trained as single units can't be combined. Your god damn squads can heal back to full strength. You just have to be in your influence borders and they heal each turn. Eventually healing back to full strength/ numbers.

You are out of order, Drago.

That is not the behavior I've been seeing. I've had multiple units lose individuals and upon dumping them back in town and watching them heal back to a full bar of health they do not replenish numbers (1.00 and 1.01, have not tried with 1.05 yet). That might not be how things are supposed to work but it's what I and apparently he are seeing. Next time don't be such a dick about it.

Actually Im having the same "problem" as well.  Make a squad of 4 units, send them off to battle, take some damage, head back to city to heal up and after healing to full I have only 2 units or one ....I have a game full of these "orphans" now and there seems to be no way to bring them back to "full squad (of 4) strength.

Not sure if this is intended or not ..but its aggravating.

Nevermind, post I was replying to was deleted. Feel free to delete this one too.

Injured squads should replenish their numbers as they heal as of last night's update.

Fine I will be nice. Here is how it works. Standing in the city seems to be bugged and you aren't getting numbers back, standing in the control zone and healing gets numbers back...see? (I don't believe it will work if you let them heal to full in the city first never tried it)

Thanks, this answers my question.

I guess I should just get those peasants killed off or disband them then since they've become obsolete at this point.  No sense in having them stick around costing me money per turn in wages.

Any word on this?  Still having this issue.

I think it's still bugged, but as a previous poster mentioned, you should may try just standing those units outside the city, but still in your zone of influence, and see if they replenish that way.

Works for me everytime...

Had several stacks that had taken casualties, and all of them healed back up just fine... I usually have them rest at a city because they gain more health back per turn (5, I think...)

Still, though, when you've got a unit with 20hp left out of over 100... kind of annoying...

wow, this is good to know!  I had no clue, just thought the leftovers were discardable

I usually have a party/squad in each major town to defend it and then I have a couple with my sov/teleport bot ravaging the countryside and/or leisurely taking AI empires at will.  I teleport to towns to swap out beat up squads for healthy ones as needed.

My squads seem to heal back to full and full numbers while chilling in town.

It would be a nice feature if you could take individuals - put them together in the same town - and be able to train them into a unit.   This would give you something to do mid game with the leftover early game single units.   Obviously it would have to cost something but it would be a worthwhile add to the game.
