Billybob?  Which faction does he lead  :andrew:

When you see a wandering female hero you can hire her and then propose to her.  Sounds like a violation of Employer/Employee relations but that's how it works in the game.

Edit1: That's assuming y'oure playing male, if you're playing a female then find a male

Edit2: To propose click on the hero go to the action bar and click on the ring button.

well you can do a couple things.

1.  you can hire a female champion(assuming you are male) and propose to them.

2.  you can talk to a faction with a single daughter and convince the ruler to let you marry his daughter. this may require a tech, it was in beta but not sure about now.

To propose, there's a wedding ring icon you click in the bottom left. I *think* it's when you have the appropriate person selected.

It might be worth playing am female ruler because then you get a lot of candidates for marriage.  Male characters seem to outnumber female by 10 to 1.  You can't up and marry some random peasant woman either, it has to be a named champion.

Yeah, finding a female companion (especially one who is interesting and attractive) can be somewhat difficult. Could use some balancing.

Also, AI sovereigns START OUT MARRIED which is unfair and unbalanced.

To bad you cant just kill random female champions. Just marry one hire a few, kill the rest and you wont have to deal with any pesky evil AI children.

Try playing Irane. It's easy for her to find a husband and she kicks butt!

Actually, high level champions with 15+ stats in several areas has been 3:1 ratio of female to male so far with me.

So a male soveregin should have better luck there. :)

There should be a starting trait that's called "Romantic" which gets you a spouse almost at the start of the game. It's fair because it would cost points to do it, but you guaranteed a spouse early on (which is great when your a male and there are no female champions).

eHarmony...where the e stands for elemental...

Just remember to POWER LEVEL your spouse (CAREFULLY) before you have children (Or before you marry).

Oh quit whinning it's perfectly fair the ai is never as good as a human player so getting a spouse before you do is perfectly fair. I guess you never played The Guild 2 either as they get spouses and some even start out with children and it's a wonderfully fair and fun game. :))

This isn't a game about powerleveling or gaming the game. One should marry what one can get and then let the child grow up and gain their important stats. :))
