Some UI bugs and stabilty issues

Couple minor annoyances concerning the cursor.

upon start up it tends to cling to the left side of the screen. attempts to bring it to the center do nothing it just stays over on the left side and gets all jittery. is usually corrected by alt tabing.

 

the hit boxes for different windows dont seem to be working too well. at times when i go to close a window in game clicking on the x to close the window doesnt always seem to work. this is especially true when using hardware cursor. can also be fixed by alt tabing.

 

sometimes the view will gravitate towards a certain area despite attempts to go and looks some place else. I have a issue similar to this in sins, not sure if that helps.

 

 

on to the instability issues. I only have one that is reoccuring. I believe the error message i get is DX Call. not sure what it is that is causing it or if its an isolated issue or if its widespread. will post it the actual error as soon as i find out what it is and my system specs

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via pastebin. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session.

If there was a dump zip created in C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic on Windows XP), please post that too.

the debug info is there as is the info from my dxdiag

 

awesome game aside from a few minor annoyances.

 

there also seems to be more slowdown as the game drags on. not sure if it has to do with how much is going on on screen or if its something behind the scenes but with 2 4850's i shouldn't be seeing any if its graphics related

the first one occurred during campaign the second one occurred before i even started a sandbox game. both seem to be related to alt tabbing to minimize the game in order to correct some of the ui errors i described in my first post
