No Sound

Did the 1.05 update today and still have the problem of sound (ALL sounds...effects, music, ambient, etc) that cut off after no more than 1-5 minutes of play time in the Campaign. Highly annoying as I have to reboot my PD to restore sound to all other applications. Operate with USB sound, Bose Stereo speakers. Any ideas???

What's the make and model of your USB sound device?  Do you have an onboard device, and if so does it show the same issue?

I have Bose stereo speakers, the Companion 5 series with 2 speakers and subwoofer. Not sure I know how to answer the "on board device" question. Thanks for the follow up.

OK...I have an Alienware/Dell X58 motherboard with on board sound. Still have the sound cut-out. now usually no more than 30-45 seconds after the Campaign starts. Hope you can help.

Thought that 1.06 might have fixed the sound problem...all sounds lasted for about 45 minutes then stopped. Same as before, system reboot needed to restore sound to my system.

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via pastebin. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session.

We fixed a lot of sound-related issues in battles in 1.07. Can you post a fresh debug.err file so we can see if it's having issues elsewhere?

Should have added that sound cut-off occurs just about anywhere. Some times before the the launch cut scene ends. It goes out on the main screen, in battles (if I get that far) or when saving a game. Pretty much anywhere and seemingly at random. Longest play stretch with sound has been about 15 minutes. Thanks again for the support you are providing.

It appears the game is using the native Microsoft USB Sound Driver and not the Onboard Realtek Audio driver. Check Alienwares's/Dell's  site to see if there are any driver updates.

Can you post the debug file via pastebin? Filebin does not seem to be loading since yesterday.

Hi...just updated to 1.08 and still have the "no sound" problem after about 6-7 minutes today. Very annoying because it requires a system reboot to get sound restored to my PC. Here is today's debug.err file:

Your file is available at http://filebin.ca/wwwqyv/debug.err or http://filebin.ca/wwwqyv

Elemental has a lot of potential and interesting game play, but it is too annoying to enjoy in its current state.
