(for starters...why only 32bit? XD)

I had gotten the error after alt-tabbing. Haven't had it in a while, though.

Aham... just me? Nobody with the same problem? What is supposed I have to do? Nothing at all? Wait and see? I have reinstall WINDOWS, and in a fresh installation it makes the SAME bug the SAME way in the SAME (and short) time. Not more than two or three minutes of playing, and any moment the play crashes.

Tired (and bored).

I had an 64b installation, and reinstalled only in 32b hoping it could be the problem.

It was not, I wasted a day reinstalling ALL, another day waiting for another update and here I am! Not able to play, compaining an crying in a forum...

Bad luck.

Update your video drivers?

I havent had any crashes in 4 hours of play except for the Crash to desktop on Alt - Tab. alt tabs works fine from the main menu for me, but when I'm actually in the campaign and alt tab out, upon return i get the crash. Other than that, the game has run flawlessly for me, but I updated my video drivers before I installed it, so who knows.

I will be very happy if any stardock-guy could say one or two words about...

Your log says you are using drivers from 4/3/2010 but the newest for your card on nvidia site are from 7/19/2010.

I had the same exact problem last night, whenever i minimized the Elemental screen and then tried to restore it i would get the error.  I updated my Video Drivers and that fixed the issue.

Guys.. I think SD is fast asleep after their marathon of patching :waaaa:

I'm sure I will have the problem too.. since I had it during the beta's on 3 different systems (ATI and NVidia cards..), but give them some ZzZzZz.

In the mean time..  If you have not reinstalled follow Nvidia's recommendation for installing a new driver - this requires you remove the old driver in safe mode - http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=16154.  Although, it is from NVIDIA, you can follow it for both major vendors.

Well, nothing good:

1.- Rebooted in safe mode.
2.- Uninstalled old drivers with Driver Cleaner Pro.
3.- Installed latest drivers (7/19/2010)
4.- Rebooted normal mode and sure new drivers correctly installed
5.- Unnistall E:WoM
6.- Reinstall E:WoM
7.- Play 2 turns, and... here we go again!

Well, after 3 days triying to play, after having installed not only the game (many times), but the graphic card drivers and the OS itself!, I surrender. I will not try anything more. I think that when you buy a game it's suposed it will WORK more or less, not forcing the customer to waste hours and hours finding logs, posting code or installing an uninstaling software again and again and again.

I will forget the game for one week, no more querulous post, I promise. If the problem is irresolvable, I will contact directly to costumer support servirce and try to take back my order, if posible.

Very disapointed, never happened.

Thanks, anyway. I'm sad, because the game smells so exciting, and I can see it but not touch... snif...

Moved the post to Support area. I'm still unable to play more than 2 or 3 minutes. Any idea of why and, more important, how long?
