Fire Giant unable to use abilities?

So it seems with the Day 0 version my fire giants can no longer use their abilities or something new is restricting them. I think? Each ability is covered with a circle with a line through it. Clicking does not work, and yet the fire giant has full mana. Any ideas? Intended and i'm missing a game mechanic or a bug?

I have the same exact problem. Not enough movement?  Same thing happens with fire elementals.  Also, archers seem to be hampered by a similar issue.

I found the same problem with archers -  but it does fire even if the red circle comes up.  This is only since the 1.5 patch...

tried using it anyways? i know with archers it says you  can't, but i've been able to fire twice with them anyways lol
