64-bit version? Tearing? Depth of Field?

I thought the game shipped with a 64-bit version and that it would have installed the 64-bit version automatically since I have Win7 64.  However, from the video tutorial, it seems the 64-bit version is not out yet?  When is it due, and how am I supposed to get it once it is? Reinstall the whole game?

I'm hoping the 64-bit version will solve the screen tearing I'm having with my Core 2 Quad 3.2GHz and 4870x2.  Not exactly a shabby system, but I get tearing galore when scrolling the zoomed in map around. Anyone esle?

And what the heck is Depth of Field and why is it disabled by default?

Thanks!

Switching to 64-bit will likely not get rid of screen tearing. This is usually a V-sync setting, which this game seems to lack. However, you can manually turn V-sync on in your video card configuration panel.

Yes Vsync will fix that. Depth of Field is the process of blurring things closer to you, and further away from you, than the focal point. It simulates human inability to focus on more than one thing at once, obviously. Probably off by default as very few strategy games use it.

It will likely be included in an update to the game, though I don't claim to actually know.

My VSync was already Always On in my ATI driver properties, so I think it is a performance issue with the game.  Perhaps I need to play around with the settings.  So no ETA on 64-bit?

Not that we've been made aware of, at any rate.  Maybe someone will pop in here and give us a clue...but Stardock is probably taking a break for a bit.
