Okay been playing it pretty much since the early release for preorders non stop
played the campaign, and then 2 kingdom games and 1 empire.
I have encountered a multitude of bugs, ctd's, memory leak issues and general frustrations.
Caravans of an opponent parking in my cities making it impossible to select them directly, only via the list to the left hand of the screen. As such it becomes fairly necessary to use the Teleport object to cursor cheat to move things out of the way at times, just so you can click your own cities.
Ships being unbale to disembark people at a coastline.
Cities randomly renaming to other faction town names between turns when you go to them (any method) after they build something, majorly annoying (can be fixed by renaming as the field still contains the original name, but it does it SO often it is infuriating).
Champions issue, basically if the game crashes when you reload sometimes some fo your champions will have changed portrai, benefit and sometimes even gender to another champion...though oddly they still kepe the original versions name, gear and level..
Also renaming Champions, yet in thier bio and on the ui when selected it still lists thier original name. Really this needs fixing plus the ability to edit champions bios would be nice so we can manually fix the name discrepency their too.
Also I have found champions appearing with the baby picture as thier image, which is just odd.. and dont even get me started on the Drake from Snathi marrying a human and making human babies because that just fraks me out.
Memory Leaks, if anything the patch after release made this worse.. now I get out of memory crashes and freezes every hours or so and once a game is into the 2000 turn area it pretty much slows down to the point of being non useable/advanceable anymore.. so my two kingdom games are currently saved waiting until the game is patched so that i can go back to them. I think this is what happened to my camapaign game too by around the same turn count it just froze up and although ic an move around the screen, view things etc the turn cannot be advanced.
Crashes - Quite frequently if you go from a game to the main menu to get to the load scren and click a game to load it will stop working and crash to desktop. Also had a CTD in the workshop just by clicking exit to get back to the main menu.
Sometimes when you got o improve a city the grid to place an imporvment showing available tiles does not appear and oddly the sounds for placing them disappear too. This has only happened three times to date but across two different/separate games. Also sometimes it will show the grid indicating FAR more tiles than the city has left, which is misleading.
Also when building improvements some are stated as being only allowed "1", yet i find that if you are in improvments and you place one of these building (embassy for example or palace), provided you have the resources/money available to place another you can do so straight away. However if you place one, exit the improvements screen and then go back to it again the ability to place a duplicate is no longer there.
NPC sovereigns CHEAT..plain and simple they all seem to have a single ridiculously overpowered monster guarding thier home city right from turn 1. In my kingdom game for example I found my nearest neighbour almost straight away his home city is rank 1 and has NO imprvments or resources to draw from yet he still managed to magic a wife up out of thin air despite me killing anything that approached the city (it has ocean on the other 2 sides, so i havent missed anyone apporaching it), and he has as I noted a Ogre with 156 attack guarding his home city, how did he get it? why is it so overpowered? because he cheats..plain and simple, very poor.
NPC Sovereigns are OVERLY fertile, I kid you not they produce like 4 or 5 children to my every 1. Also I have noticed that if your daughter marries and npc's son, you lose your daughter character, she vanishes. Yet if your son marries and npc's daughter they still keep thier daughter.. that is poor.
Resource Tile rip off. I have found that when a resource is next to your area of influence but not inside it you can click to build it, however although ti takes the money and/or resources to do it the following turn it defaults back to unbuilt.. because it wasn't in your sphere of influence. If we cant improve it yet it should give us the option to.
Some summonable creatures that have spells and special abilities seem to be lacking mana and so therefore cannot use them. The Spy Demon creature on the kingdom side for example, is stating as being able to use an arcane explosion ability yet none i have summoned or levelled up has yet had any mana points and so cannot use it. Familiars kingdom side seem to suffer from this problem too.
Adventuring Tech Tree and Monsters Growth.. in all honesty i think anyone researching Adventuring before they have researched everythign else is asking for an a** kicking by the game because the monsters wandering around quickly go from just about manageable to FORGET about it. My first kingdom game I researched Recruiting and Exploration as my first two techs to get some better heroes and some more resources visible in order to find a better place to build a starting town.. right away the monsters went from wandering darklings with stats like 4/4/2 to sligs and the like with states like 64/152/12 or thereabouts.. and this is at a stage where the sovereign was about 18 turns in and hadnt even built a city yet.
Monster spawn difficulty increase needs to be REMOVED from the adventuring tech tree entirely imo, it progresses far more sensibly and manageable on its own thanks to adventuring parties getting them upset.
Gear Stacking - kits, rings, amulets etc can be endlessly stacked. Provided you have the cahs you could have 10 medic kits for example and get the bonus from each together. In this way if you have the money you can make a champions extremelt tough without levelling them. Im sure multiples of some things was intended but perhaps not multiples of the SAME things. I.e 1 med kit and 1 scout kit is fine but 10 med kits and 10 scout kits is not.
Im sure there is more but these are the main things off the top of my head right now.
