How do you control more then one unit at a time to move and or attack?

I am playing the campaign and am at the part where I am givin the archers. Now I have my soveirn and his little army and the archers. is there a way to combine the archers with my 1st army so I dont have to move 2 seperate units everytime I want to move to a new location? or attack a monster?

max of 12 units  to and army at least in campaign.... when you have for example 16 units on the same tile you have 2 stacks 1 of 12 and 1 of 4...
