question on items/death

what happens to the items on death

Quick question(s): I was hoping you had won the fight (tutorial video)  because it would partly answered the below:

 

If you defeat someone with an item do you get it ? If one of your guys die with an item but you win the fight what happens to the item? If one of your heroes dies can they be resurrected ? I have the game but have only played a little the box has not yet arrived so haven't read the manual so unsure if it answers these questions.

I'd like to know.  Shame if the equipment disappears.  Would like to have a chance to recover items if victorious.

I do understand that in the confusion of battle it's going to be easy to lose items.  Items get broken, stolen, etc.  Can we research RFID chips that we can use on the really expensive items.  Surely there's a magical equivalent.

But seriously, where do the items go?  If they're lost, can you add to the wishlist a possibility to recover them?  That's going to hurt if we lose some epic piece of gear with no chance to recover.

Only your sovereign can resurrect (if you die outside enemy territory and have essence left, at the cost of 1 essence). AFAIK any items on a hero at his death are lost.

Woot they just disapear in an other dimension ...

 

Well as a Roleplaying gamer i always loot all the bodies and wouldnt let some stuff on them :p

Thanks Kyro - as a small suggestion I think it would be kind of nice if on death of an enemy hero his items became yours :)
