No graphic animation for fireballs ?

Hi,

 

I tried to cast some tactical spells - example fireball or something like that. But there is no animation of flying missile or else?  Why? Is it sime bug?

It seems to be bugged, I sometimes see the fireball, but most of the time it doesn't show.

Same here.. I see the animation about 1 in 4 times I cast it.

If you've got an ATI card updating to the 10.7 drivers might fix the issue for you. I had no spell effects whatsoever until I did that.

Noticed the same thing last night. I am using a Nvdia video card btw.

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via pastebin. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session.

My ATI card is on the 10.7 drivers and it doesn't work. Before the 1.05 patch it did however.

I've got the same issue on Nvidia GTX470 card. I have the current drivers. Next time it happens I'll post the log. I've only had spell effects work maybe twice out of the 10+ times I've cast them. The inferno effect is pretty sweet though once I finally saw it =p

No effects here as well on nvidia.
