Elemental won't load WIN7 64 bit

As the title says, the game won't load.  All I get is a black screen and a notice saying that Elemental has stopped responding.  After reinstalling, I got a debug.err file in the documents\my games\elemental folder.

A dependency walker report is uploaded to the following site. http://filebin.ca/jafrq/Elemental.dwi  I haven't a clue, but it seems like the report is full of errors.

Edit3: Here are my system specs, if that helps

Core I7 860 @~3.6GHZ

8GB ram

Radeon HD5970 2GB (catalyst 10.7)

Win7 Home Premium 64 Bit

Just a quick update.  The day 0 patch gets me to the GUI loader, but the game still crashes with the same error.  Happens regardless of whether I use the loader or not.

Further update.  I fixed the ieshims.dll error that was reported by dependency walker (copied the dll from a folder in internet explorer to the windows/system32 folder.  Still didn't help.

No clue what to do at this point.

Some users have reported this being caused by ATI traytools, and closing it allows the game to run. So if you're using it, give that a shot.

To my knowledge, I am not running ati tray tools.  I'll check though.  In he meantime, what else can I try?

Another user today mentioned getting past it by running the game as an admin, if you're on a limited user account that's worth a shot.

I believe they were referring to right clicking the executable and choosing "Run as Administrator" which is different than running the game as a user that's an administrator.

Odd. It runs fine for me in Win7 64-bit with 4GB of DDR3 RAM. I have an ATI Radeon 5870 1GB video card.

Still no go.  I'm not running ati tools.  I've tried running the program as an admin. NOthing.  nada. Zip.  Same error.  Black screen, "the working circle" and then "Elemental War of Magic has stopped working."

One week.  That's what I give the deves to fix the issue.  After that, I'm requesting a refund.  I'll buy the game again when it actually runs.

The day 0 patch is not out yet. You properly have the 1.01 patch.

Another update.  I am now reinstalling the program to see if that helps.  I'm not holding out much hope though.

EDIT:  reinstall complete.  Still having the same issue.  But I now have a debug.err file.  Will upload in a minute and link in the original post.

I have Win7 64-bit on both my desktop and laptop.  Elemental runs without issue on both systems.

hmm, Elemental runs fine on my main PC and the one where i tried it at work (Admin :P) - it has some problems on my HP Touchsmart - probably related to old drivers but since i can't install ordinary nvidia drivers for the integrated GT230 I'm probaly out of luck - it even runs on my netbook - slowly but it does (AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 + ATO Raedon 3200)
