No Wisdom? +elites/squads decision

Just wondering, why Channelers cannot increase their Wisdom at level up.

speaking of which ... I really hope you add mana regen back to Wisdom :)  (at last per turn)

 

and speaking of mana regen, how do certain enemy Sovereigns (and their children) regenerate mana during battle?

 

Second Topic, Elites and Squadrons. Both are good, both work well together, but why tie their requirements into each other? Shouldn't someone be able to field elite single units? or tech to company without even going past recruit/regular? Or was it because, with the current design, just choosing one or the other might field into a bit of a noob trap?

 

Just wondering on those two things (mainly Wisdom though ... I miss it :( ) -especially the mana regen ^_^ -

I was under the impression that Wisdom just determines starting essence. It doesn't seem to be an actual stat anywhere besides sovereign design.

Yep, for some reason they have replaced Wisdom by Essence when you exit the character creation, which is very confusing.

Yeah, even Brad made the mistake of stating that Wisdom improves Mana regen in his first video tutorial. It probably should function a little more. Then again, they should probably add more function to Charisma too. Essence can be increased at level up and is the same as Wisdom.

You can restore mana with those potions from quests. I've seen the NPCs have them, apparently they have been questing too!

I don't know what you mean about Squad and Elites. I was under the impression I could train any number of troops at any level I wanted.

Squads = Party? (or whatever the next levels beyond party are)

I would love for there to be mana regen in the battle but I bet that would make magic a bit OP.

How about magical items granting mana regen?
