I'm playing my first game of Elemental right now and I encountered two of the same hero, Muvueratha. She has the same name, portrait, stats, etc.
Are heroes randomly chosen/created? It would be nice if we didn't see two of the same heroes show up in the game. Perhaps their portraits/names could be picked randomly so this doesn't happen.
I had that one too (with a different name). I looked for a Kage Bunshin power in their character sheets, to no avail.
I had that happen to me too. Some cute merchant chick. I decided to marry her so I grabbed her and stuck her in my city. On the next turn I noticed her over in some field a ways from town and figured after refusing my proposal she ran away so I hired her again and brought her back to town. Then I noticed I had two and yet a third one approached the town from the north!
If these are triplets about to argue over my sovereign hes in for one hell of a night.
I guess that is one benefit. I never looked at it that way.
Now all you need to do is build yourself a mansion and start publishing magazines.

Yeah, there is a champion database with all of the characters in it. Each one has a random chance of appearing in the gameworld. Unfortunatly, I don't think there is any code to check if that character has already been placed. Hence, our problem.
Should be an EASY bugfix.
I had the exact same thing happen. I married the same gal then another approached from the north and I thought she refused my advances! It'd be nice to see a fix to this.
