Vista 64 problems?

So I just tried and fight a battle by hand.  I could never get the map to zoom or pan, so I hit auto-resolve.  Now I'm stuck trying to level up a unit because the game is waiting for me to finish my move, which I can't do (my mouse pointer is stuck on the battle movement cursor?)

I also seem to be getting periodic crashes for no reason. (Elemental: War of Magic has stopped working.   Windows is looking for a solution...)   Did none of the beta testers have Vista x64?

I am using Vista 64x and was able to play for several hours without a crash.  That includes tactical battles.

I did experience considerable slowdown after two hours, though.  My CPU usage was pretty low.  Perhaps it was a memory leak.

Map zooms and pans fine on here. Scroll wheel to zoom, left-click and move mouse  to pan. The cursor does get stuck on "Move" after a battle on the levelup screen, but you just have to find the magic spot where it registers the click on that + button. Aim a bit to the right of the button, usually :P

For any crashes, go to your C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental and you should have crash dumps in zip files. Upload them to Dropbox.com (preferred) and provide links :)

I reported crashes on 2 seperate occasions and a general inability to even open some beta versions and gave up on the reports due to not knowing if they were recieved or being looked into... the beta reporting process left a little to be desired, in my opinion.

Same here and I've only had 1 crash so far and that was trying to reload a saved game and no sticks or graphic issues either.

I have x64 Vista, and I had 2 CTDs so far with 1.0 [Personally I am beta testing since day 1, and I've reported at least 15-20 CTDs.]

I've had plenty myself on 7 x64.  I'll look into it.

I played for a couple hours last night on Vista 64 with no issues. Your problems could be due to something entirely different, e.g. your video card. Hard to pin these things down.

The best thing for everyone to do is post your crash dumps.

I'd know if my system was having problems.  It could be something to do with my video card AND the game, certainly.

That's all I've got for now.  I doubt I'll play more until this is resolved.

When I try to run the game it just hangs at the first screen (title screen), it has been doing this since beta 3. It does not generate a log, and I have to open task manager to end it because it’s not responding. This is on Vista 64, works fine on my other computer running XP.

Alright, I am definitely getting out of memory crashes, even with the 1.01 version.  This usually happens around turn 175.

Not at home so I can't post my log.
