Summons and casting

Has anyone been able to get a summoned creature to hit when it casts a spell from the sovereign's spell book? Every single time the spell misses. So far i've tried fire dart and lightning bolt and every time its a miss if a summoneed creature is casting. The fire giant hits ok using it's abilities, for example, but not using it's mana to cast fire dart.

Check the intelligence of the summons. The attack spells use the caster's INT, and that might be why you're not having much luck. I generally find they're better off buffing themselves or an ally; you don't get a huge effect but every little helps.

That was my guess as well. I just haven't bothered to research buff spells yet due to lack of need.
