Elemental Preorder Does Not Show Up on Impulse

This works very different than Steam.

Uncharged preorders don't appear in Impulse because you don't have a registration yet. Don't reorder as that'll just result in your buying two copies once the orders are charged.

Impulse works more like an online store in many cases. When buying things, that's how you should expect it to function.

Steam functions like an online store too, but it does a better job making it clear what you've purchased and what you haven't.  There is absolutely no record anywhere on Impulse that I preordered Elemental.  There isn't even a function for looking up the order number.  That's all I meant.

This is pretty much the only thing which I think Steam has over Impulse. If it displayed what we have bought (and pre-ordered) in the store section, I would seriously consider using it instead of Steam for every game, rather than just Stardock games.

A better position than I'm in. I put in my preorder, but received no confirmation via e-mail that it had gone through, and was told by the FAQ to not resubmit a duplicate order, so I fired off an e-mail to Stardock Sales to be sure, and have yet to hear back from them. Sitting here waiting for early release and wondering if my caution jinxed me out of being part of the 'pre-orders' set.

Me too....never got an email confirmation (and to be honest...never really thought about it after I ordered). Not sure if the order even went through or anything....

So just wondering how it all works then when you pre-order the game.  Does Impules update at some stage to indicate that we have the product or do we receive an email that provides a link?  Just wondering as I did my pre-order about 2-3 weeks ago and even got a email confirming the pre-order.  However I have not been able to determine if I have been charged yet or not, which brings me to the next point.  When the charge happens do we get a email confirmation that everything has been paid for?

And me too am in the no-confirmation-no-charges situation and I sooo desperatly want this game that I am stressing just not knowing if I will get it today/tonight or have to wait the release date.

Nothing can be done about it so I will just wait and pray.

i pre-ordered about a month ago, was already charged the 49.95, then I switched to a new computer a week or two ago. Shows no proof of my purchasing it now, unlike the old computer where i had the beta installed.

I get the frustrating feeling Im going to have to wait until tuesday to get it straightened out as well.

It is working as intended--the beta keys are temporarily disabled until we have the new build ready to go. The game will reappear when we get there and the keys are re-enabled later tonight.

oh, thats cool, i got the idea from other people that if you bought it way back when, even though Beta is disabled, it still should show up in your "My Games" list. just you wouldn't be able to do anything with it until actual release.

Right now it'll only show if you still have the beta installed. Still can't update it either way until we reactivate the keys, though.

The other point in the thread is pretty valid though - if you pre-order something then go back and look in a couple weeks, there's no way in Impulse to tell that you already ordered it.

That'd be something that could be improved.

So if I deleted the beta... But still have the Option to install it on Impulse. Will I still be able to play tonight?

Once it's live you'll be able to install it, yeah.

I preordered in late July after the beta 4 date but I did get an email from stardock sales acknowledging the order almost immediately.  It did not immediately bill me and said so because I did not get the beta but did give an order number.  It would be nice for it show that I purchased it but for me the email is proof enough at this point.

Now I am confused....

I just logged in to my Impulse account via the web page....and NOW it shows that a preorder is in the Cart, but not purchased....

I really, at this moment, am not sure I actually bought it.

I am in the same boat.

I have pre-ordered and upon initiating checkout during the purchase process, my impulse window went white and i was left without confirmation. I can select to view cart in the top right corner and it takes me back a step, potentially checkout again.

"Your order contains at least one pre-order item. You will only be charged for the items in your cart that are available at this time. Your pre-order will be saved in our system, and when the product becomes available or beta access is granted, you will be charged and notified by email."

I assume we just wait, unfortunately. 32 years old and I gotta close my eyes and imagine tomorrow is christmas. Effin Phooey.
