Hold Ye Tongue

For all yer land lovers out der that be getting the game early

With a large number of people getting access to the game before the 0-day patch goes live, it would be wise for these people to avoid posting complaints suggestions about the game until getting a chance to play the 0-day patch.

Reasons being:

  • Avoids wasting your time ranting about something, only to discover it being fixed/changed in the 0-day patch
  • Avoids wasting the time of the developers so they can continue focusing on the getting the 0-day patch completed and polished off
  • Will help keep the forums clean(ish)

Absurd! I'm going to start complaining now, just to get a head start.

Arrr! Graphics are terrrrrible!! All I see is a blank screen, and the sound is all choppy, like static! GG Stardock, you ruined my life with this disappointing product. I was sooo excited for the preorder, but I obviously just wasted my money!!!1!!!

I thought the "early release" is the zero day patch?

Didn't Frogboy say he was playing the zero day version in the latest AAR?

I just skimmed through the latest AAR - the only thing he says is  "Note: This part of the AAR is being run with the Day 0 build so you will see features that weren’t in the gold edition"

I haven't seen him say otherwise that we'll be getting the 0-day patch right away. If so - great!

Why would he use the zero day version to do an AAR and then release an older build?  I'm pretty sure tomorrow's release will be the zero day minus the multiplayer servers...

Cause the early access we were originally supposed to be getting was the gold version, with day 0 landing on Tuesday. Don't know if this has moved things up in that regard though. Or if I had miss read, but I recall having read that from Brad.

Maybe because they're still working on the 0-day patch? It was scheduled to be released on the 24th. Just because he's playing with it doesn't mean its completed.

I agree with this, why else would he have had the A.I notes on the latest report if he wasn't still working on the 0day update?

Hopefully we get a version that is between gold and 0day update today (Sunday), then get the full update on Tuesday. But either way i don't mind, after waiting all this time for release, a couple days for the update is nothing.

Also agreed. Especially since I'll have those sweet sweet modding tools in my hands so I can work on modding while waiting for the 0-day patch. :)

Not to burst your bubble but I'm pretty sure that mod tools aren't available until the 0-day patch--its one of the reasons listed as to why anyone would want to be sure to update. Either way, the game (and the mod tools) are right around the corner.

Frogboy said everything would work and the only thing that would be unavailable is the Multiplayer server. Some of the Mod tools were part of the beta at different times. Been here for them all. They'll be in the launch today.
