Just saw the email that talks about release and says pre-orders will get to begin downloading a day early on the 23rd.  Does this mean we're only going to be able to 'pre-load' or still get to play on the 23rd as was discussed earlier? 

My impression was that pre-orders would be able to play it early as well, but the email just says to begin downloading, and has me wondering is all.

Can we get some clarification on this?

I did receive an email receipt for my order but I havent received any news emails or anything, the only other thing I get from stardock is the "impulse buys" newsletter. Should I be sending them an email? 

(obviously if we HAVE been charged but still have no product we should contact sales)

I would just in case...  a quick email to stardock sales will verify if they have an order under your name and card. Its just the best way to get an answer.. It is very likely that if you did get a receipt that things will go fine once the game is available some time soon toady..

Tactical battles similar to master of orion 2. At least hotseat multiplayer capability. Maybe some graphical improvements, new technologies and more diverse trees for the races.

I cannot help but wonder how much earlier they would release the game if the street date wasn't broken. 1 minute ahead of tuesday?
