Just saw the email that talks about release and says pre-orders will get to begin downloading a day early on the 23rd.  Does this mean we're only going to be able to 'pre-load' or still get to play on the 23rd as was discussed earlier? 

My impression was that pre-orders would be able to play it early as well, but the email just says to begin downloading, and has me wondering is all.

Can we get some clarification on this?

I was curious if i pre-ordered the game from amazon there would be any way i could get access to the game early, or is it only orders through Stardock.

I assume when Brad says "midday" that his point of reference is Eastern Standard Time (US) since Stardock is located in Michigan, is this correct?

I'm not seeing an Elemental update in Impulse anymore and I still have Beta 4 installed. Hope it fixes its-self by tomorrow night.

So I suppose we shouldn't be concerned if we can no longer see the elemental beta in our gamelist, or in the registration having reinstalled impulse recently.

Not to be stupid but how is Stardock distinguishing Beta testers from pre orders? I pre ordered, tested the last two betas and reported some bugs, does that make me a beta tester? I can wait until tomorrow afternoon, granted it won't be easy, but was just curious how the pecking order is determined

Hmmmn,I did get a pre-order confirmation e-mail but its not showing in the impulse "My Games"area. Is this true for most pre-order customers? Someone in an earlier post indicated they didn't get the confirmation e-mail but did have the game listed in "My Games" area. Normally I wouldn't even worry about this until after 1pm tomorrow but I  got sucked into the forums and am posting against my better judgement.

If you were in the beta at all that would make you a beta-tester. As to how they know you had to get it through impulse and i am certain it left an electronic trail to follow.

Ok, I preordered elemental, then a week latter I changed my email address, I have gotten no email saying I get it early, and I don't see the elemental in my games.  Is this a problem, or has it not shown up because it's not mid-day sunday?

If you've already been charged, you're considered a "beta tester", regardless of any actual participation or lack thereof.

If you no longer have access to that address you'll want to contact [email protected] immediately. The game will be linked to the address it was ordered for, so if you can't update it in time you'll need to have support merge it to the correct one on Monday.

Look, if you pre-ordered before the beta was closed, you are a BETA TESTER, and will get the game SUNDAY MORNING. If you pre-ordered after the beta closed, you are a PRE-ORDER, and will get the game SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

We are getting reports that the street date for Elemental has been broken. This is one of the downsides of being an indie, we lack sufficient retail clout to get retailers to take our street dates seriously apparently (same thing happened for Demigod).

As a result, we plan to make Elemental available to beta testers TOMORROW (Sunday) as well to pre-order customers ASAP (either tomorrow or first thing Monday).

However, because I have to re-task the IT team to do this, I'm going to have to have us delay the multiplayer server availability until later this week - Tuesday - the original release date - or Wednesday in all likelihood).  It won't affect the single player, campaign, or modding.

How long ago do we have to have pre-ordered to get the early download?

I ask because I preordered on thursday or friday, but if the game comes out tomorrow afternoon that would be PERFECT for me since this a three day weekend for me.
