Word of mouth campaign

Knowing Stardock, they are not going to spend huge amount of money on ads (and they probably should not, better to spent it creating new content) so, the marketing is probably their weakest point, being small company and concentrating on game instead, etc.

So I suggest to all of us, who inclined to support this game to make extra effort to advertise this game to friend, to forum bodies and so on. Just make a post, here or there, make the game KNOWN, because most of the potentlial players, who would be interesteed about this game, still do not know about it.

I am not saying do it immediately, one can wait until the actual game is released, but if we make an effort for some amount of time (not just around release) then I think EVERYONE will benefit from this.

The larger are the sales, the larger is the community, the more money Stardoc will have to continue the development of the game, and the more talent there will be for user mods.

Let's do it!

I think that's kind of what the Elemental Army thing was supposed to do, since it basically got users to expose the game more publicly :) I hope it worked!

Ehmm, they do not do the job very well if even I, a beta tester and follower of Elemental news never heard about that. We need MORE effort!

I remember a news post or two about it (including a coupon for those who joined), and there's a Join Army link on top of the page at least after the layout redesign.  I don't remember if it was there before.

The best place to talk about Elemental is in Civ 5 threads bemoaning that game's absurdly high (for a turn-based game) system requirements.  People tend to perk up when you casually mention that Stardock is releasing an epic 4x strategy game that can run on netbooks.

In most Civ forum I'm visiting regularly Elemental is already known :-) After playing the released version I'm planning to provide some AAR in german there :-)

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately it ends in 4 days with release of the game. We need to do it after release as well.
